Todays theme was zero, due to a number of double doughnut days this week in Melbourne, that is no new covid cases and no deaths in the last 24hrs. Back in August we had about the same number of new cases (750) as the UK. With a long and strict lockdown as well as mask/social distancing laws and curfews we're in a much better place than many parts of the world right now and enjoying cautiously opening up in springtime. Joan Armatrading was a big influence on Barbie's songwriting and guitar playing after traveling down to Melbourne aged 17 to see Joan at the Palais. Shortly after, Barb's dad drove her to Melbourne to visit the Maton guitar workshop and shop on Canterbury Rd Canterbury and bought her a freshly made CW80 that still sits proudly in our studio with all its songs, gigs and memories. Those two events committed Barb to a life of songwriting, bands, gigs and what we share today. Thanks Joan.
Great to see them live in Ballarat 4 December - what a set and also the new songs are great. I like Mint Condition and as always the story in a song. Having visited Macquarie Harbour since the last gig and read about Alexander Pearce escaping twice... perhaps the song needed to be 14 minutes! Jaycen Cruickshank

Dare I say it, a very mature sound but can be traced back to the Warner Brothers through Dan's voice which keeps getting better! And they're even better LIVE. midgetfarrelly
